About the Peugeot 508 Hybrid (2024)
Independent spec and rating reference. No offers, no sales.
The second-generation 508 came to market in 2018 and had its facelift in 2023. The Hybrid 180 is the most common plug-in variant: a 1.6 PureTech turbo combined with an electric motor on the front axle, 180 hp combined, fed by a 12.4 kWh battery. WLTP electric range is around 56 km (manufacturer figure, not measured by us). The PSE variant with around 360 hp combined is the powerful PHEV; that version is positioned separately. Charging on alternating current; there is no DC fast-charge connection.
In practice
Owner forums report combined consumption around 6.5 to 7.5 l/100km with an empty battery on motorway use (not measured by us, varying samples). The WLTP figure of around 1.3 l/100km is a PHEV calculated value that depends strongly on how often you charge. The 530 l boot of the SW is large for the segment, the fastback has less under the high tailgate, around 487 l. Braked towing weight 1,300 kg. The indicative list price stands at 51,990 euro, a starting price, not an offer and not a forecast.
Points to note
Stellantis has cut back petrol-only versions of the 508 in several markets; check at the official dealer which version goes with the current quote and which engine and which body style (SW or fastback) is available. As with any PHEV, the fuel economy score depends strongly on charging behaviour.
