About the Ford Focus Mk4 1.5 EcoBlue diesel (2018-2022)
This model is no longer available as a new car. It is in the database as a historical reference: for looking up specifications and as input for switch orientation from an older model. There is deliberately no new price and no buy button; we are not a marketplace and do not act as intermediary in second-hand purchase. The introduction price (2018) is purely historical context, not a current value.
In practice
The 1.5 EcoBlue with 120 hp is the most delivered diesel of the Mk4. WLTP is around 4.4 l/100km (manufacturer figure, not measured by us); over long distance the diesel stays economical, in city traffic less so. Owners report around 5 l/100km in mixed use (public forums, historical, not measured by us). Whether diesel is net advantageous depends on annual mileage and fuel price, you calculate that yourself; we give no cost advice. The introduction price of 27,495 euro (2018) is purely historical context.
Points to note
With predominantly short trips, particulate filter regeneration (DPF) is a recurring point on this 1.5 EcoBlue (owner reports, historical, not verified by us); the engine benefits from regular longer trips. In case of a possible second-hand choice ask for the maintenance history, the state of the DPF and EGR, and any software updates. Low-emission zones in EU cities set increasing requirements on older diesels, check the current access rules per city. We do not act as intermediary in second-hand purchase.
