Fast charging at a public charger (10→80%)

Fast charging on the road (DC = the rapid charger you find at motorway stops, not home charging): indicative time from 10 to 80 percent, calculated from the specs — not measured by us. Actual time varies with charger, temperature and battery level at the start. The 10→80% window is the standard benchmark because the final stretch (80→100%) deliberately charges slower to protect the battery.
Charging situation10→80% (minutes)
At the car's own maximum charging rate (160 kW) ~ 31
At a 150 kW charger ~ 33
At a 50 kW charger ~ 99
How is this calculated? We assume around 70% of the battery sits in the 10→80% window and an average power around 62% of peak (the curve tapers towards the end). At a fixed charger the power is capped to that charger. An estimate, not a manufacturer figure.

Charging at home uses AC power and is slower: a home wallbox typically delivers 7.4 to 11 kW. That is separate from the fast-charge times shown above.

About the Citroën C5 Aircross (2025)

Independent spec and rating reference. No offers, no sales.

Second generation of the C5 Aircross, built on the Stellantis STLA Medium platform, the same underpinnings as the Peugeot 3008 III and the Opel Grandland B. The car grew 160 mm in length to 4,652 mm and the wheelbase by 60 mm to 2,784 mm (manufacturer figures). Citroën offers the generation with three powertrains: the Hybrid 145, a Plug-in Hybrid 195 and the fully electric ë-C5 Aircross. The specifications listed here belong to the electric 210 hp version.

In practice

The ë-C5 Aircross 210 has a 73 kWh net battery and a WLTP range of up to 520 km (manufacturer figure, not measured by us). DC charging peaks at 160 kW, on-board AC charging is 11 kW (EV Database figures). 0 to 100 km/h takes 8.9 seconds, top speed 170 km/h. Boot 565 litres with the rear bench up, 1,668 litres folded. Braked towing weight 1,200 kg for the electric version and 1,550 kg for the Plug-in Hybrid 195, which covers up to 86 km on electric power alone (manufacturer figure). The Hybrid 145 pairs a 136 hp petrol engine with a 28 hp electric motor for a combined 145 hp and a claimed range of up to 950 km. Battery warranty runs 8 years or 160,000 km. Indicative Dutch starting prices are 39,490 euro for the ë-C5 Aircross 210 and 37,990 euro for the Hybrid 145 in You trim, starting prices, not offers and not forecasts.

Points to note

Platform and powertrains are new for this model, so long-term reliability is by definition not yet documented for the first model year. The braked towing weight of 1,200 kg on the electric version is modest for the segment, check it against your trailer or caravan. Citroën has announced a Long Range with 681 km WLTP and 230 hp, which the manufacturer says will be available from late 2026; it could not be ordered on the reference date. Sources differ slightly on the braked towing weight of the electric version, 1,200 kg is the manufacturer figure. Check the official configurator for the current figure per trim.
