Category scores

These are our own numbers, not the manufacturer’s stars. The scale runs from 0 to 100, higher is better, and every figure carries a source with a reference date. Which category weighs more for you is something you know better than we do. How these scores work.

About the Renault Clio (2026)

Independent spec and rating reference. No offers, no sales.

Sixth-generation Clio, internal code X60, orderable in the Netherlands since 24 November 2025. The platform remains CMF-B, shared with the Captur among others. The body measures 4,116 mm long, 1,768 mm wide and 1,451 mm high on a 2,591 mm wheelbase. Diesel does not return to the range. Two powertrains remain: the 1.2 TCe 115 with a manual gearbox and the E-Tech 160 full hybrid with a multi-mode automatic. Trim levels are Evolution, Techno and Esprit Alpine.

In practice

The TCe 115 produces 115 hp from 1,199 cc, three cylinders with a turbo, and reaches 180 km/h and 10.3 seconds to 100 km/h (manufacturer figure, not measured by us). Kerb weight 1,130 kg, CO2 114 g/km WLTP (Autozine specification sheet, reference date July 2026). Renault quotes 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds for the E-Tech 160, from 3.9 l/100 km and from 89 g/km CO2 (manufacturer figure, not measured by us). The boot holds 391 litres, the same as the previous generation. The indicative starting price is 26,990 euro for the TCe 115 and 28,990 euro for the E-Tech 160, reference date 18-07-2026, a starting price, not an offer and not a forecast.

Points to note

First deliveries ran from late January 2026, so there is no documented long-term reliability data for this generation yet. Four of the five ratings therefore read "insufficient data" rather than a guess. Renault cites up to 29 driver assistance systems, but the count differs per trim level; check the equipment list at the official dealer. The 10.1-inch touchscreen is standard, the openR link with built-in Google services is not on every level. Renault does not yet publish a braked towing weight for this generation in the Dutch documentation we saw, so that figure is absent from the spec table.
