In depth

Strong points are the huge boot (690 l Combi) and the braked towing weight (2,000 kg). The 1.5 TSI mHEV delivers 150 hp with cylinder deactivation and a 48V mild-hybrid and returns WLTP 5.9 l/100km.

About the Skoda Superb Combi 1.5 TSI mHEV (2024)

Independent spec and rating reference. No offers, no sales.

The fourth-generation Superb arrived in 2024 and shares its technology with the new Passat (both built in Bratislava). The Combi has a boot of 690 litres (manufacturer figure) and the braked towing weight is 2,000 kg in the 1.5 TSI mHEV version, the top end for this class. The 1.5 TSI has cylinder deactivation and a 48V mild-hybrid; that helps mainly in stop-and-go traffic and on coasting. A 2.0 TDI diesel and a 1.5 TSI iV plug-in hybrid sit higher in the range.

In practice

WLTP is 5.9 l/100km (manufacturer figure, not measured by us). The generation is still new, owner data is limited; early reports point at around 6.5 to 7.0 l/100km mixed (owner forums, small sample, not measured by us). The list price stands at 47,490 euro now; this is a starting price, not an offer and not a forecast.

Points to note

The new infotainment uses physical Smart Dials on the dashboard for climate and audio, a clear improvement over the touch-only layout of the Volkswagen ID models. As an early-build model the software is still in flux, check the version delivered. Length of about 4.9 m fits parking spaces but is a point of attention in narrow streets and small garages.
