Who they are

A short write-up on each car, one paragraph apiece. We describe them on their own terms rather than picking a winner.

Profile · III (2024-, STLA Medium)

Peugeot E-5008

Large seven-seat electric SUV on the new STLA Medium platform, shared with the E-3008. The 73 kWh variant manages around 502 km WLTP with a 213 hp motor. Production in Sochaux (FR); batteries from ACC in Douvrin (FR). Braked towing weight limited to 1,000 kg.

Profile · II 2.0 TDI (NU, 2024)

Skoda Kodiaq

Second-generation seven-seat SUV on the MQB-evo platform. Strong points are the braked towing weight (2,000 kg) and the optional third seat row. The 2.0 TDI returns WLTP 5.7 l/100km; owners report 6-7 l/100km in practice (public forums, not measured by us). Boot 340 l with the third row folded and in use, considerably more with that row folded down (manufacturer figure).
