BYD Dolphin Surf

BYD's smallest EV for the EU market, European launch April 2025, on the Dutch price list from 22,990 euro including VAT for the Active (indicative starting price, not an offer). Three trims: Active with 30 kWh and 220 km WLTP, Boost with 43.2 kWh and 322 km, Comfort with 43.2 kWh, 156 hp and 310 km (manufacturer figures). LFP Blade battery on the e-Platform 3.0. DC charging 65 kW on the Active, 85 kW on Boost and Comfort, AC 11 kW. Four seats, boot 308 litres, towing weight 0 kg per the manufacturer figure.

Hyundai Inster

Compact A-segment EV on a new dedicated platform, on sale in the EU since early 2025. Two battery options: Standard Range 42 kWh (about 300 km WLTP) and Long Range 49 kWh (about 355 km WLTP, manufacturer figure). DC charging up to about 120 kW; 10-80% takes around 30 minutes per Hyundai (manufacturer figure, not measured by us). Four seats as standard, 351 l boot, V2L on board.
