Who they are

A short write-up on each car, one paragraph apiece. We describe them on their own terms rather than picking a winner.

Profile · Mk4 1.5 EcoBlue diesel (2018-2022)

Ford Focus

C-segment hatchback, fourth generation on the C2 platform. The 1.5 EcoBlue diesel with 120 hp was delivered between 2018 and around 2022; after that the diesel disappeared from the Dutch range. Reference model for spec look-up and switch orientation from an older model. WLTP consumption around 4.4 l/100km (manufacturer figure, indicative); diesel stays economical over long distance. No new price and no buy button, we are not a marketplace.

Profile · (2020+, facelift)

Ford Mustang Mach-E

Electric crossover wearing the Mustang badge, with up to around 600 km WLTP range in Extended Range guise (manufacturer figure, indicative). DC fast charging to 150 kW and optional BlueCruise hands-free highway assist.
